Hi everyone, my name is Emma Drury. I am the salon owner of Jet Black in Dereham. We are an independant unisex salon in the heart of the town.
I am very much a family person with 3 boys and a girl, i try to reflect this in my ethos for the salon, believing we are a close knit group like a family. When i get chance to 'let my hair down' i enjoy doing a wide range of things such as, going out for afternoon tea, camping, socialising with friends, family days out, bingo the list goes on, not quiet as wild as i used to be middle of the dance floor throwing shapes, those of you close to me will know i have some signature moves! If anyone was to ask me what my favourite food is i would probably have to say, steak and it would have to be cooked rare, although my dad does do a mean spag bol! I'm very down to earth, and would like to think if any friend needed me they could ask me for help, i bend over backwards for those i love dearly. My favourite time of year is Christmas, yes i go overboard but we work hard for it so why not, and every year the salon is decorated throughout, and its tradition we dress up whether its the full outfit or a Christmas jumper, its a brilliant time of the year to be in the salon with spirits high...
I have been doing hair since i left Reepham High School, it is something i always wanted to do, and went through a very hard apprenticeship. This started me on my journey which has got me to where i am today, looking back the 50+ hour weeks have paid off! I have worked in various salons around Norfolk and decided to start my first salon in Dereham way back in Jan 2011.
I have some very loyal clients/customers, which i feel have developed into friends, that gave me that chance way back at the very beginning of opening the salon. I love my job, and couldn't imagine doing anything else. The feeling it can give you seeing someone getting emotional over the work you do is truly priceless, moments like these you never forget...

Hello everyone, Samantha here! I joined the family at Jet Black back in may 2015 and after working hard and building up a strong clientele i have now worked up to a senior stylist in the salon. Alongside my work family i am a proud mumma of 2 of beautiful girls, Isla-Mae and Avayah with my husband Soren
I love colouring and have a real passion for wild and out there colours to your balayages - i always love a challenge and live for the wow factor, seeing my clients faces at the end makes this job so rewarding and worthwhile. I work part time on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays around my family.
I have both an Instagram and Facebook page dedicated directly to my hair journey, i have added the links below and i would really appreciate it if you can like the page and share it.
If you have any questions or wanted to get in touch about booking a consultation feel free to give me a message on there
I look forward to seeing you soon!

Hi i am Kirsty,
I have been part of the team at Jet Black since 2018. I've worked in a salon environment since i was 14 years old and have always known it was the place for me. Going straight into an apprenticeship from leaving High School it gave me crucial tools learning the ropes and building client relationships.
I am passionate about making people feel their absolute best, and i like to think my approach is both compassionate and honest. I genuinely care about each clients experience, from understanding your goals to making sure your hair stays healthy every step of the way. For me its all about finding the perfect balance between what you're dreaming of and what is realistic so we can create something beautiful together that lasts beyond the salon chair.
Feel free to take a look at my social media pages where you will find lots more about my work, and how to contact me with any questions directly. I have added my links below.
Kirsty xx
